Harlem High School, located in Machesney Park, Ill., offers classes in grades nine through 12, and enrolls more than 2,400 students. It offers an academic program that is designed for students who intend to continue their formal education beyond high school. The curricular areas include English, mathematics, social science, literature, science, biology, chemistry, American history, United States government and politics, health and physical education, music and art. The school has science labs, more than 20 networked computer labs and Internet access in all classrooms. It also provides core technical proficiencies, employability and job-seeking skills. Harlem High School offers numerous extracurricular activities, which includes sports, such as basketball, volleyball, softball, football and athletics.
