Nestled on the far north end of Niles, Lakeview Korean United Presbyterian Church offers services, a cultural school, a summer camp and a range of activities in a language and cultural setting that is comfortable for members of the Korean community. Rev. Kyuwan Pak, the pastor, said the church was originally founded in Cicero and moved two or three times. It bought this building, the former site of an elementary school, in 1986. On Sundays, a range of services - some in Korean and some in English, some more traditional and some more contemporary and geared to young adults - are offered. On Saturday mornings, parents bring their children to classes where they learn the Korean language and culture. Children can also attend summer camp here. Early morning prayers area offered at 5:30 Monday tthrough Saturday and at 6 Sundays. Small group Bible study meets at 10 a.m. Thursdays, and general Bible study is held at 8 p.m. Wednesdays.
