Girl Scouts of Central Illinois is a nonprofit organization that serves more than 35 counties with headquarters in Springfield, Ill. It offers services to over 25,000 girls and nearly 6,000 adult members annually. The organization is governed by an elected board of directors made up of more than 20 community citizens. Girl Scouts of Central Illinois is chartered by Girl Scouts of the United States of America. In addition, its Girl Scout Program teaches the importance of personal responsibility, the value of goal setting and the spirit of teamwork and the thrill of accomplishment. Girl Scouts of Central Illinois programs impact the lives of over 22,000 girls and help them to discover their personal best and prepare for a positive future.
