History
Fulcrum Point was founded in 1998 by internationally acclaimed conductor, trumpeter, composer, and educator Stephen Burns. A not for profit organization FP has grown from 3 concerts and board members at its inception to over 20 concerts annually and 10+ board members. Having sounded the first public note in the acoustically perfect Harris Theater for Music and Dance Fulcrum Point is one of the resident companies and performs in museums, clubs, concert halls, and Millennium Park, as well as touring nationally and internationally.

Fulcrum Point presents cutting edge new music in concerts and educational programs. Coming out of the Classical, Jazz, and World Music traditions FP leverages social issues, art, literature, film, dance, and technology to explore the boundaries of genres in the creation of New Art Music.
