Fraternal Order of Eagles is an international nonprofit organization that funds research in areas, such as heart and kidney diseases, diabetes and cancer. It also focuses on raising money for neglected and abused children and aged people, as well as works for social and civic change. The organization s programs include God, Flag & Country, Child Advocacy Day, Retired Eagle Activities Club (R.E.A.C.) and Under 35 Club. Its Law Enforcement, EMT and Firefighter Membership Program includes volunteer, paid and military law enforcement and firefighters. The organization also conducts various events and conventions. Founded in 1898, Fraternal Order of Eagles maintains one of its locations in Freeport, Ill.
