Fisher Memorial AME Zion Church is part of the national African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church. Fisher Memorial was founded in 1958, and the current church on Elmwood Avenue was built in 1977. The Reverend Warren G. Smith is presently the head pastor. In addition to Sunday services and Sunday school, Fisher Memorial offers Bible study classes every Wednesday at 6pm.
