Founded in 1849, Family Resources is an agency that offers a range of support services for families. It provides adoption, preservation, education, counseling, therapy, residential, aftercare, shelter, volunteering and permanency services. The agency administers the Residential Based Supportive Community Living Program (RBSCL), which includes life and social skill development, family support and behavior intervention services for boys between the ages of 12 and 17. Family Resources offers the Building Blocks Day Treatment Program, which features services in the areas of sexual assault, domestic violence, behavioral health care and psychiatric consultation. It also operates the Kinsman Emergency Youth Shelter, which provides a variety of care and supervision services for boys and girls. Additionally, Family Resources conducts the Community Adjustment Program (CAP), which includes monitoring probationary requirements and assisting children and families in transition.
