The Village of Evergreen Park Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining the streets, parks, streetlights, water, sewers and building projects in the village.
The Public Works Department is comprised of the Sewer and Water Division, and the Streets and Parks Division. The Sewer and Water Division is housed in the Public Works Department building, while the Streets and Parks Division is at a different location.
Seeking to provide residents with clean water, the Sewer and Water Division owns and operates its own systems. In 2004, the village received a modern, state-of-the-art water pumping station, which enabled it to provide everyone in Evergreen Park with superior water pressure. Residents are billed every three months when the meters are read, and may pay water bills by mail, in person at Village Hall, at Fifth Third Bank, the convenient drop box located at 94th & Kedzie or take advantage of direct debit (details on the village website.) The village has set sprinkling hours at 7 am - 11 am and 7 pm - 11 pm from May 15 through September 15.
The Streets and Parks Division offers a variety of programs to the residents of Evergreen Park including snow removal and curbside leaf pickup.
Michael Kneips is the head of the Sewer and Water division. Robert Yukich is over the Streets and Parks division. William Lorenz serves as the director of the Public Works Department
