Dozens of missionary programs have been supported by Elim Evangelical, located on Kostner Avenue in Oak Lawn. From as close as Chicago Ridge, to far-away Costa Rica, young members of its congregation have a passion for helping others. Pastor Ron Allen helps devise strategies that make worship more relevant to the youth. Sermons directed at adolescents have even successfully compared their faith to blockbuster movies. One recent event saw students travel to Starbuck's and hand out psalms to passing cars.
