Flinn Middle School
Founded in 1956, Flinn Middle School enrolls more than 900 students in grades six through eight. It offers academic programs in language arts, mathematics, science, social studies and technology education. The school additionally offers student assistance, Renaissance, peer meditation, mentoring and career awareness programs. Flinn Middle School s facilities include a library, gymnasium, technology laboratory, swimming pool, cafeteria, computer laboratories, and music, workout, band, orchestra and visual arts rooms. It also has an auditorium that can accommodate up to 1,000 people. The school s extracurricular activities include a student council and chess, drama and multicultural clubs. Flinn Middle School has an athletics department that offers a variety of sports activities, including soccer, cross country, wrestling, swimming, track and field, gymnastics, basketball, volleyball, football and bowling.
