History
Founded in August 2020, Chicago Ray Records sits near the corner of Clark and Greenleaf in Chicago's Rogers Park neighborhood. Owner Ray Pate says the opening of the store was a long time dream. Having had to leave his prior location in 2016, Ray found himself with a significant record collection in storage. With the coronavirus pandemic sweeping Chicago and more people staying and working at home, Ray saw the opportunity to offer a fashionable product that could be enjoyed from the comforts of one's own living room: vinyl records. Ray's hope is that people enjoy their experience when visiting Chicago Ray Records - that they can come in and have fun flipping through records and listening to music. We're happy to let you play any open records before you buy! Also, if we don't have something you're looking for, please let us know so that we can find it for you at a great price!
