Located across from Cog Hill in the Midwest Golf House is the office for the Chicago District Golf Association, which promotes amateur golf for players of all ages and abilities in Illinois and parts of Michigan, Indiana and Wisconsin. Founded in 1914, the association now has about 95,000 individual members and 360 member golf clubs.
Membership to the association offers educational progarms, special offers, newsletters, a magazine subscription and "preferred rates" at participating golf courses. Other benefits include a 20-percent discount for the BMW Championship at Cog Hill and yearly opportunities to go on a golf excursion to a premier resort in the U.S. with other members.
