Charleston High School is a four-year North Central association approved secondary school that serves students in grades nine through 12. It offers a core curriculum and a range of elective courses, including math, social studies, science and English with various electives, such as sociology, small engines and parenting. It provides classes to more than 900 students of Coles County in Illinois. It also offers classes in word processing, fine and applied arts, and health and physical education. The school provides various sports, such as football, soccer, volleyball, basketball, cross country, softball, baseball and golf. The school s facility comprises library media and fitness centers, a computer laboratory and cafeteria. Its media center contains computer labs with Internet access and various reference sources. The high school is located in Charleston, Ill., and is a member of the Apollo Conference.
