Dr. Lieder is an orthopedic surgeon, fellowship trained in trauma, specializing in complex orthopedic fracture care and adult joint reconstruction. Originally from Lansing, Michigan, Dr. Lieder obtained his bachelor’s degree in Physiology at Michigan State University and his medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University. He completed an orthopedic surgery residency at Midwestern University in Chicago and an orthopedic trauma fellowship at Indiana University Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. While completing his fellowship, Dr. Lieder was awarded a traveling fellowship grant to practice abroad at the Zhejiang University School of Medicine in Hangzhou, China. Dr. Lieder holds leadership roles such as Chief of Orthopaedic Trauma at Illinois Masonic Medical Center. He is a member of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Being active in research, Dr. Lieder is committed to providing his patients with the most current and innovative treatment options. Additionally, he is dedicated to orthopaedic education, teaching residents at University of Illinois-Chicago and Midwestern University.
