Chaddock, founded in 1853 by the Methodist Episcopal Church, is rooted in Judeo-Christian heritage. It is a nonprofit organization that specializes in the empowerment of children and families to become self-reliant members of their communities. Chaddock offers a full range of special education, community-based and residential treatment programs to help children and families deal with extremely painful issues. It provides outpatient counseling, outpatient diagnostic assessment, case management, substance abuse treatment, foster care services, individual treatment plans, outdoor experiential education, spiritual awareness and integrative attachment therapy. The organization s residential treatment site features an education center, library, kitchen, dining hall, pool, gym and training rooms. Chaddock has head offices in Quincy, Ill.
