Located in Chicago, Catholic Theological Union is a graduate school of theology and ministry. It was founded in 1968, offering various courses and programs in its facility with modern classrooms, a fully equipped library and a meeting and assembly spaces. Its curriculum models the interrelatedness of theological and ministerial disciplines, and interweaves theory with practice. It offers various degree courses, such as master of divinity, arts in pastoral studies and arts in theology and doctorate of ministry. The institution also offers a variety of specialized certificate programs in a wide range of areas that include biblical spirituality, cross-cultural mission, health care mission leadership, liturgical studies, pastoral studies and spiritual formation. The degrees offered at Catholic Theological Union are accredited by the Association of Theological Schools and the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools.
