Carl Sandburg High School is a public school for students from Orland Park, Orland Hills, Park Forest, Tinley Park and Palos Park. Part of District 230, the "Home of the Eagles" has prepared teenage students for adult life since 1954.

Sandburg High School is home to a multitude of athletic, scholastic and performing-arts programs. Several teams have competed successfully in IHSA, including the 2010 championship-winning girls' softball team, the debate team, boys' wrestling, varsity cheerleading, boys' and girls' cross-country and boys' swimming and diving. Several students have been ranked in the National Merit Scholarship Program for academic achievement.

Decent School, academics are great, counselors are alright. Hot Lunch situation is atrocious.

Park School Orland School Dist 135

Park School is one of the original schools that became District 135. The school stands in the same location as it did in 1922, when it was only a seven-room building. Before Carl Sandburg High School was built, extensions added onto the building allowed it to be used as a high school. Today the "Home of the Panthers" serves students between Kindergarten and second grade living in northern and central areas of Orland Park. Sue Kuligoski serves as principal of the school. Students have access to basic classes in language arts, math and social studies as well as health, physical education, music, art and computer literacy through the school's media center.

Park School

Located in Orland Park, Ill., Park School serves students in kindergarten through grade three. The school operates a library and media center that offers various resources and programs, including accelerated reader programs. Additionally, it offers a range of programs, such as gifted and talented education, reading recovery, bilingual education, regional day school and summer enrichment. Park School has a parent-teacher association that organizes various fundraising activities that include assembly programs, Scholastic book fairs and school spirit nights. The school s academic curriculum includes special education, reading, art, math, science, social studies and physical education. It is a part of Orland School District 135.
