Camp Wartburg is a ministry of the Lutheran Child and Family Services of Illinois, a statewide organization that assists more than 20,000 children and families every year by providing services, such as foster care, adoption, children's residential centers, family counseling and a variety of community-based programs. Lutheran Child and Family Services of Illinois is licensed by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, and accredited by Accreditation of Services for Families and Children. Established as a children's summer camp in the 1960s, Camp Wartburg accommodates up to 130 overnight guests. The camp is built on more than 100-acres and offer various activities to campers, such as fishing, canoeing, swimming, and an athletic field. Camp Wartburg is a member of the National Lutheran Outdoor Ministries Association. Camp Wartburg is located in Waterloo, Ill.
