HistoryWhat was once the iconic Ballroom City is now Strut Dance Studio. Brittney Valdez, one of Ballroom City's dedicated dancers and instructors, took ownership of the studio in February of 2021. Ballroom City had a 25-year history of providing the Chicagoland area with a place to social dance, take dance lessons, and most importantly, make lifelong friendships. While the studio's name has changed, the mission to provide the dance community with somewhere to call home remains. The multi-talented group of instructors at Strut will continue to share their passion for dance with students, building on the sense of community that came before it.SpecialtiesWe teach a variety of partner dance styles including American and International Style Ballroom, Latin, Country, West Coast Swing, East Coast Swing, Hustle, Argentine Tango and the many dances those genres encompass. We teach all levels from beginner to professional. We offer group lessons and private lessons along with open floor time for dancers that need a place to practice their dance moves.
