Bob's Newsstand was founded in 1965, and it's much more than a place to catch the paper. The store is a treasure trove of bygone days, offering up old time posters and magazines by the cartful. It is still run by Robert Katzmann, who's been working in this shop since he was 15. He'll be happy to talk your ear off about Chicago history, or not, if you prefer. Katzmann also hosts a weekly poetry night. Feel free to browse, but don't expect to touch too much - the shop may be holding up nicely, but the old paper is pretty fragile.
