Richard F. Bernotas School was built in 1969 and serves students in grades six through eight. The school board changed its name from North Middle School to Richard F. Bernotas School in 2003. The institution offers classes in various subjects, including math, sciences, computers, art, music, social studies, physical education, history and language arts. The school s athletics department provides various sports, such as volleyball, cross county, basketball, golf, wrestling and tennis. It offers several clubs for students that include art, bowling, chess, creative crafts, drama, jazz band, pet, golf, and fantasy and science fiction clubs. The school also organizes various television shows and talent hunts. The institution is located in Crystal Lake, Ill.
