Back on My Feet is a non-profit organization that empowers individuals to break free from cycles of poverty, homelessness, and addiction through fitness, community support, and employment resources. Operating in 16 cities across the United States, they believe in a new approach that combines community and accountability to achieve long-term transformation and economic stability.
From the moment members join from homeless shelters or rehabilitation facilities, Back on My Feet provides support and resources, including access to workshops, personalized support, and one-on-one mentoring. Members commit to running or walking 2-3 days a week, and the organization guides them in building their careers, improving their credit, purchasing homes, and reuniting with their families. Since 2007, Back on My Feet has served over 15,000 individuals, engaged more than 150,000 volunteers and supporters, and helped members run a collective 500,000 miles while obtaining over 10,000 jobs and homes.
