The Office of the State's Attorneys Appellate Prosecutor is operated by the government of the State of Illinois, which works for the welfare of the general public. It handles more than 350 cases annually. The Office of the State's Attorneys Appellate Prosecutor s labor unit has been in operation since 1985 and serves counties under the Illinois Public Labor Relations Act. In addition, the office administers a local drug prosecution support unit.
