Founded in 1952, American Bar Foundation is an independent nonprofit national research institute. The foundation researches in a wide variety of fields, such as law, sociology, psychology, political science, economics, history and anthropology. The foundation s objective is to advance justice through research on law, legal institutions and legal processes. American Bar Foundation s fellows includes attorneys, judges and law professors to encourages and supports the research program. Additionally, it organizes seminars and meetings on various topics, such as law and political science. It has won various awards, such as the Outstanding Service Award and Outstanding State Chair Award. American Bar Foundation is located in Chicago.
