Alpha Phi International Fraternity, based in Evanston, Ill., is a membership organization dedicated to promoting sisterhood, cultivating leadership, developing intellectual knowledge and advocating service amongst women. The sorority, founded in 1872 at Syracuse University, is one of the first Greek societies for women and has expanded its mission and membership through more than 140 collegiate and over 130 alumnae chapters throughout the United States and Canada. Alpha Phi International Fraternity, its member chapters and individuals support women s cardiac health and other charitable and educational projects. Alpha Phi Foundation is the organization s philanthropic and educational partner.
