The Academy of Scholastic Achievement is a nonprofit, public alternative high school that provides educational classes to more than 200 dropouts and students. The school is accredited by the Illinois State Board of Education and a member of the Alternative Schools Network. It offers a variety of extracurricular activities, such as student council, leadership development team, basketball, volleyball, choir, math club, student newspaper, and literary magazines and yearbook. The school offers academic instruction in language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, reading, technology, and health and physical education. The Academy of Scholastic Achievement has been operational for more than 25 years and is located in Chicago.
