The Evergreen Park Village Building Department is housed inside the Village Administration building, right in the heart of Evergreen Park. Headed by Director Geoffrey Layhe and Commissioner Edward Clohessy, the building department handles all matters relating to construction in the village. It is split into two divisions: the Inspection Department and the Permit Department. Residents may visit the Inspection Department, headed by Lolita Maxwell, to inquire about housing sales, register rental properties and schedule yearly inspections. Lori Cotter heads the Permit Department. With her, residents may obtain licensing registrations, permits or inquire about contractors. The Evergreen Park Village Building Department also oversees building complaints concerning property maintenance.
