Based in Boise, Idaho, Western Aircraft is one of the largest independent aircraft services companies in the Pacific Northwest, offering maintenance, aircraft sales, avionics sales and installation, aircraft parts sales, FBO services, airline fueling, aircraft charters and aircraft management. Western Aircraft began as the corporate flight department for the Morrison Knudsen Corporation headquartered in Boise, Idaho, more than 60 years ago. During the 1980's, three more hangars were added, and the company became a wholly owned subsidiary of Morrison Knudsen incorporated under the name of Western Aircraft. In 1995, the company was purchased and is now owned by Al Hilde, Jr., Tim Hilde and Allen G. Hoyt. Today the company is an authorized service center, certified aircraft repair station and worldwide distributor of parts and avionics for many of the world s top aircraft manufacturers and OEM s such as Dassault Falcon, Pilatus, Hawker, Beechcraft, Raytheon, Cessna, Honeywell and Collins. Western Aircraft has five major hangars totaling 70,000 square-feet of space.
