Dave began his apprenticeship in 1953 and has been learning and teaching musical instrument repair ever since. Dave studied Music Education at the College of Idaho and played in the 25th Army Band for 27 years. His combined experience as a musician and music educator gives him the unique and valuable ability to help other musicians solve their musical problems, whether the loose screws are on an instrument or in the musicians head. Dave helps all those that work for him understand the value of his approach and his caring philosophy is readily apparent to his many customers, be they student or professional. These philosophies have also been captured in the educational video.
