Operational since 2004, Sunrise Elementary enrolls more than 70 students in kindergarten through grade three. The school s facilities include a music room, gym, cafeteria, computer laboratory and playground, as well as several classrooms. Its academic curriculum includes English, science, music, art, physical education, reading, writing, social studies and math. Sunrise Elementary also conducts special education classes for students with disabilities. The school offers the English as a Second Language program. It also offers a gifted and talented education program for students in grades two and three. The school operates a parent-teacher association that coordinates parental involvement in student education. It encourages students to participate in Fun Friday, which is an enrichment program for children in grade one. Located in Shelley, Idaho, Sunrise Elementary is a part of the Shelley School District 60, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools.
