History
In the early 1970's, a committee of citizens identified the need for an event center for the Nampa community. Twenty years later, the Nampa Civic Center celebrated dedication ceremonies on May 12, 1990. On August 27, 2007, construction broke ground on a 5,500 sq foot expansion to the Nampa Civic Center. Since its opening, the Civic Center has welcomed over 1 million people through its doors and hosts over 1,000 thousand events annually. The Civic Center was created through the support of private businesses, individuals and the City of Nampa. The entire facility was paid for prior to opening day.
