Idaho Power Company is a subsidiary division of IDACORP. Establshed in 1998, IDACORP is a diversified energy and technology holding company. The company operates through several non-regulated companies and the regulated utility Idaho Power Company. Through its operating companies, IDACORP offers new energy technologies, independent power production, Internet services, telecommunications and affordable housing. The company s non-regulated subsidiaries include IdaTech, a manufacturer of fuel cell systems; IDACOMM, which offers broadband Internet service; Ida-West Energy, a company with ownership in several hydroelectric projects; and IDACORP Financial, which makes investments primarily in affordable housing projects and historic rehabilitation developments. IDACORP is a publicly traded company. Its shares are listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol IDA. Idaho Power Company is located in Boise, Idaho, where it employs nearly 530 people.
