Co-Ad, also known as Comprehensive Advocacy, is a protection and advocacy system that has been operating in the state of Idaho since 1977. It is a private, nonprofit, legal service organization that operates federally funded grant programs to protect the legal rights of persons with disabilities. Co-Ad operates several programs, including the Protection and Advocacy for Individuals with Mental Illness (PAIMI), Protection and Advocacy of Individual Rights (PAIR), Client Assistance Program (CAP), Protection and Advocacy for Assistive Technology (PAAT), Protection and Advocacy for Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PADD), Protection and Advocacy for Beneficiaries of Social Security (PABSS) and Protection and Advocacy for Individuals with Traumatic Brain Injury (PATBI).
