Subaru Telescope, NAOJ is an observatory that was established in 1997. The facility houses several research laboratories, a library and extensive computing facilities, including a supercomputer for data management and analysis. The supercomputer is also used to provide weather-related data in collaboration with University of Hawaii s meteorologists. National Astronomical of Japan, also known as NAOJ, is an inter-university research facility that carries various astronomy research programs at the national level. It builds and operates research facilities for researchers throughout Japan and worldwide. Subaru Telescope is one of 10 NAOJ facilities. Subaru Telescope is an open-use facility and accepts joint project coordination proposals from organizations worldwide. The organization is located in Hilo, Hawaii.
