The Maui Community Correctional Center is a part of the State of Hawaii. The center is governed by the Hawaii Department of Public Safety. It covers an area of more than five acres in Wailuku in Hawaii. The center houses pretrial detainees and offers re-integration programs to sentenced felons and parole violators. It provides GED, adult basic education, substance abuse treatment and vocational training programs. The Maui Community Correctional Center also offers opportunities to participate in several in-facility treatment services. The center provides programs in parenting and cognitive skills. In addition, the Maui Community Correctional Center offers extended-furlough programs in conjunction with the Maui Intake Service Center.
