Founded in 1954, Koko Head Elementary School provides learning programs to more than 200 students in kindergarten through grade five. The school offers English as a Second Language and Drug ABUSE Resistant Education programs. It also provides special educational services to academically gifted and talented students. The school maintains a library that offers books on various topics, including science, nature, philosophy, computers and wildlife. Koko Head Elementary School has a full-time student services coordinator who works with teachers, parents, administrators and other agencies to assist in the implementation of school-based services for students. It additionally provides health care services. The school s counselor offers information on scholarship programs and provides assistance with personal issues. Located in Honolulu, Koko Head Elementary School offers special classes for children with developmental disabilities.
