History
Wai-Kahala School, KCAA's first new school after WWII was built in 1953. It was a model for its time with the entire school scaled to a three-year old's eye level. Since its opening, the school has been a popular choice for early childhood education and care because of its convenient location across from Kahala Mall. In 1972, President Richard Nixon also found it convenient and arrived on the lawn outside the school in a helicopter accompanied by his wife and members of his cabinet!
