EBT and Cash accepted. Proceeds from the market go towards the Hale Puna paid Student Farm Internship Program. The non-profit Hale Puna is currently in the process of restoring the Hale Puna house, formerly known as the Gulick Rowell Mission House. This historic house was completed in 1830. Emergency roof repair began Fall 2017 and the house restoration process will continue once enough funds are acquired. Once restored, the house and working farm will provide for the conservation of the historically significant property. The traditional food forest will host classes and workshops on sustainability and the history of West Kauai agriculture and the house will be used as a community center for events and performances that contribute to the cultural fabric of West Kauai life.
