History
Diamond Head Theatre, one of Hawaii's most cherished treasures, lies at the foot of Diamond Head Crater. Diamond Head Theatre has the distinction of being the third oldest continously operating community theatre in the United States. Each year Diamond Head Theatre entertains over 30,000 theatregoers. Each and every production is cast with and built by volunteers, contributing thousands of hours. From the actors on stage, to the crews that work the production, to the ushers, set painters and costumer sewers--we've got great people who consider Diamond Head Theatre a part of their lives. With year-round classes in dancing, acting and singing; an extensive summer school for children and teens, and a youth performing troupe called the Diamond Head Theatre Shooting Stars, Diamond Head Theatre is not just a community theatre but the center of our community.
