History
In 1938, a group of employees of the Kekaha Sugar Company, Ltd., realized the great benefit of organizing a credit union for the sugar plantation workers. On February 8, 1938, the Farm Credit Administration approved the organization of the Kekaha Federal Credit Union. In November 2018, Kekaha Federal Credit Union, with more than 1,600 members, merged with Aloha Pacific Federal Credit Union. Today we are known as Kekaha Credit Union, a Division of Aloha Pacific Federal Credit Union, and we continue to serve members in the Kekaha community, as we have for more than 80 years. This partnership with Aloha Pacific FCU includes more than 2,300 Select Employee Groups (SEGs), whose employees, family and household members are also eligible for membership. In addition, residents of Kauai are also eligible for membership in Kekaha CU.
