A gift to the city by the Duckhead Apparel Company, the building that now serves as the Winder Community Center has gone from an old warehouse to a multi-purpose events facility decorated with antique furnishings, framed oil prints and large floral arrangements tailored to the season.
Established in 1998, the facility includes a boardroom that seats 25 guests, a conference room that can accommodate 75 and a ballroom that comfortably seats 300 people. The community center's kitchen includes a commercial refrigerator and a commercial food warmer as a convenience to caterers and food servers.
