Lakeside High School
Lakeside High School, located in Evans, Ga., and established in 1998, enrolls more than 1,500 students. It provides academic and college-preparatory education to students in grades nine through 12. The school is a part of Columbia County Schools. Its curriculum includes English, math, science, social studies, and physical and health education. Additionally, the school provides courses in family and consumer science, business, information technology, special education and foreign languages with a choice in French and Spanish. Lakeside High School also provides advanced-placement courses and SAT preparation classes. It also has a media center that provides literary sources, online databases, journals, magazines, computer workstations and access to the Internet. The high school additionally organizes various extracurricular activities, such as choir, drama, debate competitions and the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps program. Lakeside High School provides various sports activities, such as baseball, basketball, football, soccer, cross country, swimming and tennis.
