This church dates back to post-Civil War days with its first services held in 1872. A fire destroyed the church in 1941, but the bell was rescued and today is atop the current building, which was purchased by the church congregation in 1953. Helping people from the surrounding area cultivate a relationship with Jesus Christ for nearly 130 years, Vinings United Methodist Church offers several worshiping options including a Mom's In Touch prayer group that meets on Fridays.
