Welcome to Southeastern Angling, Coastal Georgia’s premier light tackle and fly fishing charter service. Based out of Saint Simons Island and Jekyll Island, Southeastern Angling was formed when full time guides Captain Scott Owens and Captain Rob Aldridge got together over 10 years ago and saw the need to provide a top notch professional fishing guide service here in the Golden Isles and Florida. The Golden Isles consists of Coastal Georgia barrier islands, including St. Simons Island, Jekyll Island, Sea Island, and Little St. Simons. Southeastern Angling specializes in inshore and near-shore light tackle and fly fishing charters not only in Georgia but also in North Florida and the Florida Keys. Providing high quality skiffs and bay boats from 16 to 24 feet, they have the perfect tools to chase a wide array of fish in many areas and a lifetime of experience and knowlage to find the bite. Whether you are a seasoned fly angler, or a family seeking an enjoyable day on the water, Southeastern Angling offers trips catered to each individual need! Make sure to check out the Georgia and Florida Keys fishing report pages where you can brows through over 15 years of fishing reports and great videos! Coastal Georgia has more saltwater marsh than anywhere else in the country. This expansive marsh makes up for nearly 1/3 of all of the saltwater marsh in the United States, and with a large tidal range that floods inland upwards of 20 miles from the coast, experience and knowledge of the ecosystem is key to consistently catching fish and your safety. Southeastern Angling guides all have this experience and we offer our clients inshore, near shore, and offshore light tackle and fly fishing charters in the waters around our area. We fish the waters around Sea Island, Saint Simons Island, Jekyll Island, Little St. Simons Island, Brunswick, and several other locations around Cumberland, St. Mary’s, Amelia Island, and Sapelo that provide access to less pressured waters. Our primary departure points are easy to reach on Jekyll Island, and out of St. Simons only 3 miles from Sea Island’s Cloister Hotel and less than 5 miles from the beach areas on the island.
