The SCAD Digital Media Center is a three-story, 60,000-square-foot facility that is operated by the nearby Atlanta campus of Savannah College of Art and Design. The center opened in 2009; the building was the former home of Atlanta NBC television affiliate WXIA. The center offers SCAD students learning resources such as broadcast sound stages, recording studios, editing rooms and set fabrication studios. There are around two dozen classrooms in the center.
