Lexington Insulators is a division of Lexington Precision Corporation, which manufactures rubber and metal components through its two operating segments, the rubber group and the metals group. The rubber group manufactures connector seals used in automotive wiring systems and insulators used in automotive ignition wire sets. In addition, the rubber group manufactures molded rubber components used in a variety of medical devices, including drug delivery systems and syringes. The metals group manufactures machined components from aluminum, brass and steel bars. The principal products, in which its components are used, include automobiles and trucks and medical devices. Typically, products sold for automobiles and trucks account for nearly 90 percent of the company's net sales, while products sold for medical devices account for nearly 10 percent. Lexington Insulators is located in Jasper, Ga., where it employs nearly 275 people.
