Established in 1974, The Pastoral Institute is a nonprofit and faith-based educational center that provides nondenominational counseling and consultation services. It employs a staff of more than 70 licensed psychologists, marriage and family therapists, social workers, life coaches, and professional and addiction counselors. The institute provides career assessment, suicide prevention, leadership development, management training, human resource, and executive and professional coaching services. It operates the D.A. & Elizabeth Turner Ministry Resource Center, which strengthens and supports clergy, congregation and denominational support systems. The Pastoral Institute offers online screening for bipolar and eating disorders, depression and alcohol abuse. It publishes several magazines, newsletters, books and articles. The company is certified by the American Association of Pastoral Counselors and accredited by the Samaritan Institute. It operates satellite offices in Lanett, Ala., and LaGrange, Ga. The Pastoral Institute maintains a location in Columbus, Ga.
