From the approach this budget-friendly motel looks like a dozen country cottages joined together side by side. The 100+ room establishment is set back on a large expanse of patchy grass. It is quiet during the day. Just about the only sound comes from the woo-woo-woosh of the nearby Highway 285. Though the stated policy is that pets are not allowed, the owners will consider the matter on a case by case basis, particularly if the pet is small. Although the Old Country Inn provides few amenities to its guests, the very busy Glenwood Avenue is within walking distance and provides nearly endless choices for fast food, gas stations, pharmacies and nightlife.
