Founded in 1991, the North Gwinnett Cooperative is a nonprofit organization that provides a range of food, clothing and financial assistance services. It offers spiritual support services in the Buford, Suwanee and Sugar Hill communities in Georgia. The organization provides financial assistance to more than 10,000 individuals and offers winter coats to over 200 people. It provides bread and bakery goods to each household on a weekly basis. The North Gwinnett Cooperative also offers a variety of utilities, including gas, electric and water. It works in alliance with various civic and community organizations, churches, corporate business partners, grants and schools. The organization works in partnership with the Housing and Homeless Council, Nordson Cooperation, Level Creek United Methodist, Buford Ministerial Association, and S & S Ace Hardware.
