Started by a dedicated community of artists and housed in Monroe's lovely historic downtown district in a 1931 era Post Office, MWCA has stayed true to our vision of supporting the local arts, outreach to our community and education.
Specialties
We are a community art center offering gallery shows, classes for all ages, Summer Art Camp, and special events. Our Artists Market Gift Shop features 50+ LOCAL artists' and makers' works. Original art, prints, photography, pottery, jewelry, glass works, toys ... even candles and locally crafted soaps. Our classes include drawing, painting, pottery and creative writing. We also often offer specialty classes like knitting and other crafts. Sip and Paint is offered monthly. Our kid's classes start at age 6 and continue through high school.
